A 35-year-old Windsor man has been charged in connection to autographed jerseys the were stolen from the WindsorMinor Hockey Association.
Michael May is charged with three counts of break and enter and theft under $5,000.
Police say despite the arrest, the jerseys are still missing.
Officers were called to Adie Knox Arena on Wyandotte Street West around 2 p.m. Sunday for a report of five missing hockey jerseys.
They were signed to the Windsor Minor Hockey by Bob Probert, Ed Javanovski, Bob Boughner, Matt Martin and John Tucker and were all in framed.
Police say video surveillance showed two suspects allegedly entering the arena at approximately 1:45 a.m. and leaving with the jerseys. Officers from the Windsor Police Target Base Unit reviewed the video and linked one of the suspects to other break and enter investigations.
On Tuesday, officers found the suspect near Wyandotte Street East and Louis Avenue and he was arrested without incident.
Officers believe he is also linked to a theft of jewelry and cash at a retirement home on Dec. 19, a jewelry theft on California Avenue on Dec. 23 and a money theft at an apartment building on Jan. 1.
