Share

The Hockey for Hospice tournament is returning to Windsor-Essex, spanning over three days.

The tournament is on Friday through Sunday with over 115 teams taking part. More than 200 games will take place at four different areas, containing hockey divisions from U7 to U15.

“This event is one that players, parents, coaches and community members all look forward to each year, and we are thrilled to be back once again,” said Katharen Bortolin, executive director of The Hospice Windsor and Essex County.

“Stepping into the arenas, you can feel the excitement and year after year, these young players continue to astonish us with their skills, hard work and generosity. Not only do they have fun, raise pledges and learn about The Hospice, they’re teaching their friends, families and neighbours about hospice and our vision of delivering memorable care.”

More than $5.2 million has been raised since the tournament’s inception.

Games will take place at the Libro Credit Union in Amherstburg, Essex Centre Sports Complex in Essex, Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex in LaSalle and the Tecumseh Arena in Tecumseh.
