Two children are in stable condition in hospital, following a three vehicle collision Thursday night in Chatham-Kent.
According to police, the crash happened on Base Line Road near Dresden around 4:30 p.m. and involved a Chevrolet Malibu, a GMC Sierra pickup truck, and a transport truck.
A 7-year-old girl from Wallaceburg was airlifted to a London hospital, while a 7-year-old-boy from Wallaceburg was transported by ambulance to a Chatham area hospital. He has since been transferred to London for further treatment.
Both children were occupants in the Malibu. The 33-year-old driver was transported to hospital, but has since been released.
The driver of the pickup and the transport declined medical attention.
Base Line Road between King Ferry Road and Van Allen Road was closed for several hours.
