A Chatham teen is facing charges after police needed to block his vehicle to get him to stop late Friday night.
Chatham-Kent police saw a Dodge Dakota that was being driven erratically on Park Street in the city around 11 p.m..
When the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver didn’t initially stop, until the officer was able to perform a blocking tactic.
Police say once the vehicle was safely stopped, the driver was still uncooperative, refusing to unlock the door and exit the vehicle as instructed. Eventually, the driver cooperated and was taken into custody.
The 18-year-old Chatham man was charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle.
