The heat is on in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent, as Environment Canada forecasts a sweltering week for the region.

According to the weather authority, temperatures in Windsor hit a high of 30 C with 39 per cent humidity on Monday and there doesn’t appear to be much of an end in sight. Temperatures are predicted to stay hot and sticky all week.

Rain is expected to roll into the region on Tuesday, but won’t provide much relief to the temperature. A high of 30 C is forecast.

Thursday through Sunday is expected to be all sun with temperatures in the high 20’s.
