A provincial court judge in Windsor has decided Scott Quick will stand trial for first-degree murder related to the death of his estranged wife Nancy Quick.
Justice Lloyd Dean announced the decision in court on Monday morning.
The judge has ruled there is enough evidence to proceed with a first degree murder trial. However, the evidence in the case can't be revealed because of a publication ban.
Quick's lawyer Patrick Ducharme declined to comment after the ruling.
Nancy Quick, 40, was run down by a stolen minivan in 2006 just outside of a school in Emeryville where she worked.
Court heard from about 100 witnesses during the preliminary hearing.
OPP charged Quick with first-degree murder in March 2015, when he was living in Brighton.
The case returns to court Jan. 6.
The actual trial is expected to begin in the summer and it will likely last a couple of months.
