Bail has been denied for Scott Quick, who is facing a first-degree murder charge in the death of Nancy Quick.
Justice George King announced his decision to deny bail in court on Wednesday.
Scott Quick, 48, was charged in the death of his estranged wife after she was struck by and hit and run driver in Tecumseh in 2006.
She died in a Detroit hospital five days later.
The stolen vehicle was later recovered and a witness reported seeing man exit the vehicle.
A publication ban is in effect on details of the case.
