Robin Easterbrook has provided some clarity to his mayoral platform.

At a news conference on Friday, Easterbrook provided his vision for Windsor if he is elected mayor. The chair of Windsor's heritage committee says he wants to improve infrastructure, as well as develop a bicycle registration database to curb bike thefts.

"I could go on and on because there are many issues that need to be addressed in this city for it to be the best mid-sized city in Canada and that is my vision, to be the best mid-sized city that it can be," says Easterbrook.

In addition, Easterbrook wants organizations to outline clear goals and objectives in order to receive funding from the city.

Along with other mayoral candidates seeking more transparency at city hall, Easterbrook says residents can already see that in his campaign.

"You can already see a level of transparency and honestly going on with myself. I mean everyone talks about holding the line on taxes, but I've got the data that shows that we haven't held the line on taxes,” he says. “Between 2006 and now, taxes have went up 8.8 per cent for residential and taxes for commercial have gone up 100 per cent"

Easterbrook joins 11 other candidates in the race for Windsor’s mayor seat.
