A Windsor man is facing dozens of child pornography related charges in connection to a massive province-wide child exploitation investigation.
At a news conference Tuesday afternoon, the Windsor Police Internet Exploitation Unit detailed charges laid against 29-year-old James Piche. He was arrested on Sept. 23 at a home in the 3100 block of Church Street.
Investigators say they seized 28 terabytes of data from Piche’s residence that have led to 64 new charges, including:
- 10 counts of sexual assault.
- 15 counts of making child pornography.
- 15 counts of accessing child pornography.
- 15 counts of possession of child pornography.
- 9 counts of sexual interference.
These new charges are in addition to six previously reported, including three counts of child pornography and three counts of making available child pornography.
Three local sexual assault victims have been identified, but investigators believe there could be more.
