The Ontario government is committing $44 million towards a new Kindergarten to Grade 12 school in Kingsville.
The plan is to consolidate four schools - Harrow District High School, Kingsville District High School, Jack Minor Public School and Kingsville Public School.
The new school is expected to accommodate 1,045 elementary students and 753 secondary students. It will also have six childcare rooms.
The next steps include acquiring land, design and approvals, tendering for general contractor, and construction.
Officials say they anticipate the school to be open for the 2019-20 school year.
