Police say the driver killed in a crash between a pickup truck and tractor-trailer Saturday on Queen's Line was a 37-year-old man from Chatham-Kent.
The crash happened about 10 a.m. on Queen's, east of Dillon Road.
Police say the pick-up truck left its lane and was travelling westbound, in the eastbound lane of the roadway, at the time of the collision.
The pick-up truck caught fire and although passers-by stopped to assist they were unable to free the driver from the truck. The Chatham-Kent fire department extinguished the blaze and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to Chatham hospital and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Members of the deceased driver's family requested his name not be made public.
