Two people are dead after a motorcycle crash in Lakeshore.
Around 7:15 p.m. Saturday, June 25th, emergency crews responded to Essex County Road 46 at Rochester Townline Road in Lakeshore, where a minivan struck a motorcycle.
OPP say a Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling westbound on Essex County Road 46 carrying a passenger when a Ford minivan northbound on Rochester Townline Road ran through the posted stop sign and struck the motorcycle.
Both the driver and passenger on the motorcycle were ejected and sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. Both were taken to hospital, where they were pronounced deceased. The driver of the minivan was not injured in the crash.
The intersection was closed for about six hours.
Names of the deceased are not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.
Charges are pending.
