A former Fiat Chrysler executive has been charged in an alleged conspiracy involving payments to UAW brass.
Al Iacobelli was indicted Wednesday, accused of making $1.2-million in payments to UAW Vice President General Holiefield and his wife Monica Morgan.
Officials with Fiat Chrysler say they had no advance knowledge of the alleged payments.
Indictments indicate a $262,000 mortgage was paid off on the Holiefield’s home in surburban Detroit.
Iacobelli was FCA’s negotiator through 2015 while Holiefield was responsible for collective bargaining on behalf of the United Auto Workers union.
None of the allegations have been proven in court.
