Details of a disciplinary hearing involving a Windsor police officer won't be kept secret.
That's the ruling from the hearing officer after Const. Dorothy Nesbeth's lawyer argued the media should be banned from the hearing.
Nesbeth is charged with deceit and two counts of discreditable conduct after Canada border officials allegedly discovered more than 100 cans of alcohol in her vehicle.
Officers say it was not declared.
Nesbeth was travelling with her mother and daughter when the incident occurred.
She has been suspended with pay since 2010.
While Nesbeth's lawyer said the proceedings be held behind closed doors, a lawyer representing local media outlets, including CTV News, argued the matter should be open to the public.
The disciplinary hearing continues on Thursday.
