The City of Windsor is offering up some land to help attract an auto parts manufacturer from Germany.
Council held an in-camera meeting Friday and discussed the sale of city owned land to the unnamed company.
"Part of the process of attracting that company is being able to put something in front of them,” says Mayor Drew Dilkens. “So city council has approved a deal that we can actually put in front of them and have a further conversation."
Dilkens visited Germany last week to talk about the company possibly opening a plant in Windsor.
The Mayor says representitives from the company will visit Windsor in August as part of a site visit.
Dilkens says Windsor is competing against a city in Alabama to attract this unidentified company.
Dilkens hopes a decision will be made by early fall.
