Amherstburg fire officials say about 150 chickens were unharmed after a barn fire in Amherstburg.
The fire broke out at a chicken barn in the 8400 block of Howard on Monday.
Damage is estimated around $3,000.
Officials say an electric coil was wrapped around water pipes to prevent freezing ignited hay near the coil.
Fire damaged two small areas in the barn.
