Chatham-Kent OPP say a single-vehicle crash has claimed the life of a 40-year-old Chatham man.
It happened on Highway 40 at Electric Line Thursday morning just before 7 a.m.
Police say a Hyundai Accent traveling northbound on Highway 40, left the roadway and crashed into a tree on the east side of the highway.
The driver was the only person in the car. He was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, say police.
Highway 40 was closed between Robin Line and Bush Line until noon Thursday while OPP officers investigated.
