Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man after an alleged assault on Wednesday.
Police say the man gained entry into a Chatham apartment complex by a woman who let him in just before midnight.
The woman and the man knew each other through a telephone conversation.
The man was in the apartment building for a very short period of time, during which police say he assaulted the woman.
Police say she did not sustain injuries as a result of the incident.
Security images of the suspect were released and he was identified by police.
