Hinduja Global Solutions Canada Inc. is opening a new call centre in Windsor.
The company wants to hire 400 people by June and up to 600 by the fall. Interviews for the positions have already begun.
The call centre will be at Tecumseh Mall, in the old Zellers location.
"We have been working for some time now with HGS and we are delighted they will be setting up shop in Windsor," says Sandra Pupatello, CEO of the WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation.
HGS announced last fall in would be locating to Windsor, but did not release details until Tuesday.
On its website, HGS says it provides “world class customer care and technical support to marquis clients within the communications, technology and financial industries.” The company has 25,676 employees and 58 centers in 12 countries.
