Alleged prowler arrested on Walker Road

Windsor police officers have arrested a man wanted after an alleged prowler incident in the city’s west end last month.

Police say thanks to information from the community, officers located and arrested a 33-year-old man in the 1000 block of Walker Road on Jan. 4.

Police said on Dec. 25 around 3:30 p.m., police were called to the 400 block of Rankin Avenue. According to officers, a male suspect was seen looking into the window of a home, where a victim was changing clothes.

The suspect was confronted by the victim’s father and ran. They were last seen in the 600 block of Rankin Avenue.

Officers also recovered a vehicle the suspect had stolen following the incident to flee the area.

The man has been charged with:

  • Harassment by watching and besetting
  • • Voyeurism
  • • Mischief interfering with lawful enjoyment
  • • Theft of a motor vehicle
