Wings Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is literally bursting at the seams.

Owls, hawks, ducks and opossums are being brought in all in rough shape - and mother nature hasn't helped.

Last year the centre cared for over 3,000 animals, and so far in 2014, nearly 160 animals have come in.

With the influx of animals, including a dozen swans rescued off Little River Thursday, volunteers have had to be creative. A welcome room normally used for visitors, now houses the graceful creatures.

The animals will undergo rehab at the centre until they’re nursed back to the health. At which point they will be released back into the wild.
