Amherstburg police continue to investigate after two people were sent to hospital following an ATV crash in Amherstburg.
The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning in the 4700 block of the 4th Concession.
Police say investigation into the accident has revealed that the ATV was being driven by a 41-year-old LaSalle man and had a 38-year-old female passenger from LaSalle.
The machine was the lead ATV within a group of ATV’s travelling west bound through a farmers field approaching the 4th Concession.
The ATV hit the ditch on the west side of Concession 4, both the driver and the passenger were ejected and later transported to hospital.
The male sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital. The female passenger sustained minor injuries and has been released from the hospital.
Police say alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
Charges maybe pending and will be determined at a later date. The crash remains under investigation
