Windsor police say a man was possibly pepper sprayed while trying to break up a fight between two women at a downtown Windsor bar.
Officers were flagged down by a group of men outside the Boom Boom Room in the 300 block of Ouellette Avenue on Sunday at 1:45 a.m.
Police saw a number of patrons exiting the nightclub, coughing and rubbing their eyes. They also smelled a strong noxious odour emanating in the air.
Investigation revealed that there was allegedly an altercation between two females inside.
A male tried to intervene and a female sprayed him with noxious spray, possibly pepper or bear spray.
He was transported to hospital for decontamination.
The female suspect left the scene prior to police arrival. EMS attended to a number of patrons who were feeling the effects of the noxious spray.
