A Coroner’s Inquest is underway looking into the death of a worker who lost his life during construction of the Herb Gray Parkway.

Giuseppe Serra, 40, died after becoming trapped between two objects on June 17, 2014.

A spokesperson from the Office Of The Chief Coroner says the inquest is scheduled to take two weeks.

AM800's Rob Hindi attended the first day of the inquest and reports an OPP officer who was at the scene and took pictures was questioned.

The inquest will look into the circumstances surrounding the death and will make recommendations to prevent a similar tragedy.
