Environment Canada has confirmed reports of a funnel cloud in Essex County.
Meteorologist Peter Kimball tells CTV Windsor, the system that formed a devastating tornado in New Tecumseth, also developed a funnel cloud in Maidstone.
Pictures posted on the Facebook group, Ontario Tornado Watch, show the funnel cloud forming around 5 p.m. Tuesday near Manning Road and Essex County Road 46.
A tornado advisory was not in place at the time, however, the region was under a severe thunderstorm warning.
