The Windsor Symphony Orchestra is holding a benefit concert Wednesday night for victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

The benefit concert gets underway at 7 p.m. at the Capital Theatre, where the WSO will play excerpts from the likes of Beethoven and Mozart.

Tickets are $20, with all proceeds benefitting relief organization GlobalMedic. Tickets are still available at Devonshire Mall and from members of the Filipino Community Centre. Those members can be reached at 519-966-8661.

CTV’s Jim Crichton will make a special appearance.

The death toll is in the thousands, with even more displaced, after Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines in early November.
