After a three month study, Windsor police have released their census results.
Officials say the force isn't diverse enough, with almost 89 per cent of members identifying white as their racial background. That is much higher than the community’s white population of 79 per cent.
Chief Al Frederick says the project was launched to develop initiatives aimed at identifying and preventing discrimination in the workplace.
The data also showed 67.8 per cent of its members are male and 32.2 per cent are female.
Over 600 members, or 96 per cent, of the force took part in the census. It was launched by the Windsor Police Service human rights project team.
