Caesars Windsor is adding a Windsor autoworker to its circle of millionaires.

The man and his wife were enjoying his wife’s ‘snow day’ from work on Monday and decided to visit Caesars Windsor and participate in a promotion, the casino says.

He won the money while playing a $1 denomination Cash Spin Jackpot slot machine on the main gaming floor, part of the Mighty Millionaire provincial progressive million dollar jackpot. Caesars officials would only release his first name – Kim.

“Caesars Windsor is thrilled to celebrate this life-changing million dollar jackpot with Kim,” said Mary Riley, Caesars Windsor’s vice president of marketing, in a news release. “We are proud to include him in our property’s winning tradition that has awarded millions of dollars.”

Caesars says Kim had been playing 10 minutes on the game before hitting the jackpot. He didn’t realize he won right away, thinking he had to spin again. He was excited to learn that all the bells and whistles were announcing he had won the $1,011,027 jackpot.

When asked what he plans to do with his winnings, he said he will retire as an autoworker and predicts “lots of vacations” in the near future.

With Monday’s win, 733 players have won a million dollars or more at Caesars Entertainment resorts nationwide. The local count increases to eight millionaires and multi-millionaires.
