A special weather statement and a severe thunderstorm warning issued for Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent have ended.
Environment Canada says thunderstorms producing heavy rains that formed over southeastern Michigan have moved through the area.
While the storm is gone, the clean up has just begun.
A number of streets in the city have seen some flooding, including along Howard Avenue and Windermere Road.
A massive tree has also fallen on two George Avenue homes, but firefighters say there were no injuries.
The storms had been predicted to bring downpours with approximately 20 mm to 40 mm of rain locally.
