We’re happy to report there’s no long a lame duck in Amherstburg.

After two days of trying to inflate the world’s largest rubber duck, he’s finally taking flight at Kings Navy yard park for the Ontario 150 tour.

Some visitors to the Canuck it up festival in Amherstburg were a little deflated not to see him this weekend but high winds and a tear in the fabric caused the duck to go lame for a while.

It usually takes three to five hours to inflate the world's largest rubber duck.

The province paid $200,000 for the duck to make 6 stops across Ontario.

Amherstburg officials were hoping to see up to 50,000 visitors this weekend for the two day festival which also includes tall ships, a techno dance show and a lumber jack show.
