The man accused of attempted murder and arson in relation to a fire on Balfour Boulevard has been denied bail.
Kenneth Kormendy, 43, has been charged with three counts of attempted murder, two counts of arson causing bodily harm and one count of arson with disregard for human life.
The fire happened on Oct. 24. It resulted in a mother and her seven-year-old daughter being sent to hospital with burn injuries.
CTV News can’t report the details of the bail hearing due to a publication ban.
A Justice of the Peace has ruled that Kormendy can’t be released on bail pending his trial and ordered that Kormendy not contact members of the family involved in the incident.
