After nearly losing its obstetrics unit last year, there's been significant progress at Leamington District Memorial Hospital.
Two new obstetricians have joined the unit.
One of them, Dr. Kenneth Ogah says he chose Leamington because he knew he could contribute to the improvement of women's health.
“Where people saw challenges, I saw opportunities where I could inject my personality and my skills to improve care,” says Ogah.
Ogah began taking patients in late June.
He tells CTV News the unit is growing at a fast rate.
In two weeks, Dr. Idris Yekinni will join the team.
You can meet both doctors on Wednesday night, at a health services outreach event at Deer Run Church.
Experts will be on hand to answer questions and let the public know the services that are available in the Leamington area.
