Transit Windsor officials say at least 10 bus shelters have been vandalized over two days.

Windsor police are investigating and have released video of a vehicle related to the incidents.

In addition, about a dozen vehicles in the same area were also targeted in the early morning hours of Monday and Tuesday.

Between bus shelters and vehicles, there are now 20 reported incidents, resulting in more than $15,000 in damage.

Transit Windsor officials say they deal with graffiti from time to time, but they say they've never seen anything like this.

“It’s unfortunate, the damage it caused,” says Tony Houad, senior fleet and support services manager for Transit Windsor. “They were deliberate and took time to cause lots of damage.”

He says it will cost approximately $11,000 to repair the eleven glass panels that were destroyed.

Houad says the bus shelters are safe. He says there are no sharp edges to worry about, so the public can use them.

He says the new glass panels will be ordered in the next week or two and he hopes to have them in place soon after that.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call Windsor police or Crimestoppers.
