The family of Belle River man killed in Walkerville motorcycle crash is seeking answers and has hired a lawyer.

Windsor lawyer Jennifer Bezaire, from Greg Monforton & Partners Injury Lawyers, has been retained by the Gammon family.

Jim Gammon, 56, died at Windsor Regional Hospital on Tuesday after succumbing to severe brain injuries suffered in the crash, says the law firm.

“Our firm has been hired to investigate the circumstances surrounding this crash,” says Bezaire in a news release. "The family is suffering unspeakable pain and has asked us to thank the media and the public for respecting their privacy at this time."

Bezaire and the Gammon family are asking the public for help determining what happened.

The crash took place at Chilver Road and Richmond Street around 1 p.m. on June 4. Police say  his motorcycle collided with a minivan.

The driver of the van and her nine-month-old infant were also transported to hospital as a precaution for observations.

Police say charges are pending.
