Windsor police are warning the public about counterfeit U.S. bills circulating in the community.
Officers were called to a business in the 1600 block of Tecumseh Road East for a report of counterfeit U.S. bills on Monday around 11 a.m.
A bag containing a number of fake U.S. $100 bills was located in the alley nearby.
Officers seized the bag and also located more bills in the alley where it was originally located. There were 100 counterfeit bills in total.
The Windsor police financial crimes unit has also been receiving a number of complaints involving counterfeit U.S $50 bills.
