Poor weather has delayed the Detroit Lions drone show to tonight – initially scheduled for Friday, tonight’s show will kick off at 7:00 p.m.

Hundreds of drones will take off from the Riverfront Festival Plaza. The area will be closed for the launch, with the show viewable from many locations across the city. Downtown Windsor will be the place to be this evening.

Generally speaking, if you can see Caesars Windsor hotel towers, you will have a good view of the show. There will be lots of action downtown, and Windsorites already got a taste of the excitement with some celebrations on Friday, “ We thank the Detroit Lions for this generous gift to our community, and for ensuring Canadian fans can join in the excitement of these playoffs. This is another solid opportunity to highlight the Windsor-Detroit region’s strong reputation as a world-class sports tourism destination and to reinforce our identity as the ultimate ‘Two Nation Destination,’” said Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens.

Ouellette Avenue will be closed from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

The show is dependent on weather, although conditions look promising tonight.
