A contract to repair the Paul Martin building has finally been awarded.

Scarborough-based Colonial Building Restoration won the contract, valued at $3.2 million.

The scope of the work includes cladding repair, stonework and partial rehabilitation.

The building has slowly fallen into disrepair over the last five years, with parts of the limestone facade chipping off.

The historic building, named for the late Paul Martin Senior, has also been cloaked in scaffolding and black cloth.
