Recruiting is underway for people who want to carry the Pan Am flame through sections of more than 130 communities ahead of next July's opening ceremonies in Toronto.
Applications can be made through the Pan Am Games website, until Dec. 1.
The torch relay will start in Canada on May 30th next year and will make its final stop in Toronto on July 10th when the games open.
About 6,000 athletes from 41 countries are expected to participate at the Games, which are being held at venues across southern Ontario.
