An attempted murder charge has been dropped in the shooting of a 19-year-old Windsor man last month.
A week ago, 20-year-old Tori Tremblay was charged with attempted murder, but the Crown now feels there is no reasonable grounds for conviction, says his lawyer Maria Carroccia.
The charges were dropped Wednesday.
On Sept. 29, a man was found on Brant Street, with a gunshot wound in the chest. Police say he was in the Intensive Care Unit, but his injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.
Police believe the victim had been shot, driven to the area of Brant and Louis and dumped.
Carroccia says the police investigation is ongoing.
She says Tremblay faces several unrelated charges for public mischief and failure to attend court.
