A 31-year-old woman was found dead after a fire at a house in Windsor on Thursday morning.
Fire crews were called to a two-story home at 1566 Benjamin Ave. for a working fire around 3 a.m.
The police and fire joint emergency command unit was at the scene Thursday morning.
Windsor police Sgt. Matt D’Asti says a deceased female was discovered on scene and, "We're conducting interviews and trying to contact anybody with information and that's where we're at."
Police are now treating the incident as a homicide.
About 50 metres from the home, a blue Pontiac Sunfire was wrapped in police tape.
An autosy has been scheduled in London on Friday.
