Woman charged after throwing pot of coffee in Chatham business: CKPS

Chatham-Kent police charged a woman who allegedly threw a pot of coffee when asked to leave a business in Chatham.

Officers were called to the business on St. Clair Street regarding a woman inside that was causing a disturbance at 9:44 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police say they learned that the woman was told by employees to leave the premises, and that she responded by throwing a pot of coffee.

Police arrived and placed the woman under arrest.

The 34-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with mischief and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
