All-girls soccer league kicking off in Essex County

An all-girls soccer league is launching in Essex County.
Sponsored by Count Her In and registered with the Ontario Soccer Association, Unite Her Soccer provides a groundbreaking platform for girls to stay active, develop skills, and gain confidence. The program is also partnered with SC United Soccer Club.
"This is about more than just soccer,” said Kara Murray, Founder of Count Her In. “We’re creating a space where girls can develop leadership, teamwork, and resilience — skills that will serve them far beyond the field."
The league will be for girls ages eight and up, born 2007 through 2018. Registration opens Dec. 15 and the season will run May through July 2025.
