Another drug bust by Windsor Police, and a 40-year-old city resident faces czarges

Officers from the Drug and Gun Unit (DIGS) used a search warrant to raid a home in the 2000 block of Union Street around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

It happened after officers observed a suspect female exit her residence and drive away in her vehicle around 7:30 p.m. Her vehicle was stopped on Janette Avenue near Pitt Street and she was arrested without incident.

During the raid of the home, investigators seized

  • 4.9 grams of suspected cocaine
  • 1.8 grams of suspected heroin
  • 82 suspected fentanyl pills
  • $540.00 in Canadian Currency
  • 2 cellular phones
  • a box of plastic baggies
  • 2 digital scales
  • a spring loaded knife

The seized drugs have an estimated street value of $4,130.

Engracia Gailliard, 40, of Windsor is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a prohibited weapon.
