Four people were sent to hospital after two violent Windsor home invasions early Thursday morning.
Windsor police were called to Windsor Regional Hospital around 2:30 a.m. to see two victims who said they were robbed. Police say a man and woman, ages 37 and 33, were sleeping when several men entered their house in the 1900 block of Ellrose.
The couple went to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. They were treated and released.
At 4:40 a.m., Windsor police officers were dispatched to a house in the 300 block of Janette Avenue for another home invasion.
Sgt. Matthew D’Asti says they don’t know if the two cases are related but they are exploring that possibility.
Police say two male victims, ages 26 and 28, went hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both victims told police they were visiting with acquaintances when a number of suspects entered the house.
Both cases are still under investigation. Members of the forensic identification unit are processing the crime scenes.
