Chatham-Kent police says a Windsor man has been arrested on fraud charges.
Police says in May, a man offered to build a fence and deck for a Chatham woman, if she paid $3,000 up front for supplies. Officers say the man took the woman’s money and failed to complete the job. Police issued a warrant for fraud under $5,000, after officers were unable to locate the man.
Police says during the same month, the man convinced a 19-year-old Camden Township woman to give him $240 in return for a cheque. However, when the woman attempted to deposit the cheque it was denied. Another warrant for the offences of fraud under $5,000, uttering a forged document, false pretenses and forgery was issued.
Police say on Wednesday morning, 30-year-old Zachary Hunt turned himself in to police headquarters.
