Harrowing testimony Monday in a Windsor courtroom during an attempted murder trial.
Sheri Rueda took the stand during the trial of her former boyfriend Kenneth Kormendy, who is facing a total of eight charges, three for attempted murder and five others related to arson, including disregard for human life.
She testified she was doused in gasoline and then forced to flee her home as it went up in flames in October 2015.
Kormendy, 44, pled not guilty to all the charges as his trial began Monday.
Court heard the fire was started the same day the relationship between Kormendy and Rueda ended.
One of her children, a 7-year-old girl, was seriously hurt in the blaze.
