The City of Windsor has reached a tentative agreement with its Professional Firefighters Association.

A special meeting of Windsor city council will be held Tuesday afternoon to address the deal.

There are roughly 240 firefighters in the association.

Mayor Drew Dilkens says talks have been ongoing for some time, and he believes the tentative deal is one everyone can be happy with.

“Like every negotiation, it ebbs and flows and you give and take,” says Dilkens. “I think we're in a position where administration feels comfortable making a recommendation to city council and I'm sure the fire association is equally comfortable bringing it to their members as well.”

The details have the agreement will not be released until ratification.
