Saints spar with Sheridan College in home victory

St. Clair Saints men’s basketball team secured a victory over Sheridan College on their home court Saturday afternoon – raising their OCAA West Division record to 10-1.

The Saints had a comfortable 34-19 lead heading into the second quarter, increasing the gap to 57-37 by halftime.

Sheridan attempted to answer the Saints, dominating the third quarter 25-34 which brought them within 11 points of the Saints.

The fourth quarter saw Sheridan continue to outshoot the Saints, however their lead was too great. The final score was 108-96 for Saint Clair.

St. Clair’s Amari Frye and Mazin Tiea each scored a game high 24 points.

They will be back on the court at 4:00 p.m. Sunday against Humber Polytechnic, who currently are on an undefeated run.
