A Windsor woman is in court on Monday for sentencing submissions after being convicted of "fabricating evidence" for immigration.

Sandra Zaher, a former Windsor immigration lawyer, was found guilty in July after counselling a potential immigrant to fabricate a refugee story.

She was charged following an RCMP investigation in 2012.

Zaher faces a maximum penalty of 14 years in jail.
