It’s a wet and gloomy day across the region. Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Windsor, Essex County, and Chatham-Kent.

Significant rainfall is expected, and the frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb it, meaning there is an increased chance of flooding.

A low pressure system is bringing the rain Sunday. Light showers may linger into Monday, however, the majority of rainfall will fall through the day Sunday.

Rainfall amount of 30 to 45 mm is possible.

Meanwhile, the high is expected to hit 11 C Sunday, way above what’s normal for this time of year, which is around minus 1 C.
